ABOUT THE PRODUCER
BISHOP CHARLES V. MACKIE
CEO & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
"Raised by a single mom with no dad around, God raised me through television. Many of the things that I learned as a father, husband, man of God and business entrepreneur has been through watching programs of yester-year. Fast-forward, today, God showed me that the same way He raised me with great television programming (such as Good Times, Different Strokes, Little House on the Prairie, Andy Griffith) is one of the ways He wants to raise this generation--with morals, guidelines, and principles. Young, old, everybody!"

ON THE CUMBERLAND
Told through the eyes of a young Black caddy named Charles Earle, this recounts the trials faced by great Black golf pioneers like Bill Spiller, Ted "Rags" Rhodes, Charlie Sifford, Lee Elder and Black celebrities like Jackie Robinson, and the heavyweight boxing great Joe Lewis.

Set in the 1950's, it recounts the trials of Black golfers of that day and cumulates with the rescinding of the "Caucasian Rule" in 1961 which barred Black golfers from competing in the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA).

On the Cumberland is a HIDDEN FIGURES type film that illustrates how Black men, including Thurgood Marshall fought for equal rights on public golf courses amidst a country being torn apart by civil injustice.
